My last scanner was well served about four years ago and bought me. Still works, but I decided to upgrade, because it is not up to par with my needs, not quality. Although it was long ago, I still clearly remember that it took three days to get it that causes the SCSI card and drivers are all working happily together. This scanner on the other hand, had a step by step guide that I was up and running in just two minutes, no joke not even reboot. The quality is great. Color balance is excellent, extremely sharp and free of artifacts or edge seen all kinds of saturation seemed a little low defualt, so I did some fiddling with the settings to get it, where is the big bonus wanted.Another film scanner. I've seen other scanners that seem to have rough "quick and dirty" adapters and so on, but this scanner is really optimized for that purpose, which has a light built into the lid, instead of a mirror system to ensure a balanced light. The image from the negative scans are a bit "soft, I guess that cuased small increase in the film. Its not only noticeable in less studied side by side with a print. The surprising aspect is the color. It is very much alive. I was quite shocked when I looked at some picures of a holiday in the past. The perfect color realism that was missing from the press reported that it was offset by color but technician.I lab "time to use the scanning feature for professional purposes, but I would also like to emphasize that it is a very useful feature, if only to use at home. I'm sure some of you are like me in the closet with boxes of negatives and prints scattered to the ends of the earth. Instead of paying laboratory fees expessive all 10,000 of them processed, you can browse only through them, which seems ineteresting scan and email to friends 27 of 27 people found this review helpful. Piece of cake for a customer who bought this scanner because of its low price and features. What I really wanted was a good basic level of slide / negative scanning capability at lower cost, and this scanner fits the bill well. Nothing could be easier than creating this scanner - it took all of 10 minutes (from opening the box to connect all the burden of scanning an image, in fact). The operation is very simple - photo put on a plate, button, follow the on-screen. I found very useful software. Those looking for wholesale scanning of slides is incapable of this kind, and if you have a pile of negatives to go, planning to take some time. But you can not beat the scanner's ability to money.A In addition, tracking my purchases Amazoncom was excellent - all the information you could want about where the barrel of your purchase at any time. They said that 7.5 days, she was three. Good job. 37 of 39 people found this review helpful. Scanner excellent, excellent. By STEPHEN J. SMITH This scanner is a replacement for my Mustek 1200 he had bought recently and was not satisfied with the quality of the product. Canon D660U, although not as fast as the Epson 636 words that I use at work, have a better quality output. This scanner is perfect for home and business needs. The ability to scan 35 mm slides and negatives is an added plus. Although using Adobe Photoshop to edit all my graphics, the software that comes with the D660U is so good. CEARÁ including Omnipage OCR software is excellent. This is an easy to use, the package of high quality scanning that everyone should be happy. See all 22 customer reviews ....
