Shopping satisfied with the SD card slot, no need to connect the scanner to a computer and not have to deal with the software. Leave the CD in the box. I used this without a computer scanner to scan my slides. I used AAA batteries for portability, and I also supplied the power, when I was near a roulette to save money buying batteries. The quality of the scanner is great! Scanning a slide so fast that at first I did not even know scanned. You literally press a button and he is done second. No noise. Once I finished scanning all my slides, I just pulled the SD card scanner and a card reader for my computer. The files were all in standard JPEG format, where all programs on your computer can read the files. 101 of 101 people found the following review helpful. Quick scan, but the instructions are very poorly written by Tina from Brooklyn first time I ever Scanner can not compare with others. But Extremely fast scanning, approximately 2 seconds per image. Would have been nice to have a slide with more than three seats, but the owner was easy to use. My only complaint was the instructions, I found it difficult to know exactly what to do and how to switch between screens (eg, image save, delete, transfer to the computer), but pick it out after a few attempts . Use a memory card, faster than using the scanner's memory, then after about six slide scanner memory was full. No problem transferring photos to my Apple computer. Yes, I would recommend to buy and loved seeing my 40 year old slides on my computer screen. 101 of 107 people found the following review helpful. Some errors. . . By D. Edwards, I got this for Christmas present from my father. He has many slides from the 50s and 60s that he has hidden away, and I thought he would have easier access to the images we put on it, and I began to scan slides to enjoy. When I got to run the slide show, it was the group I had originally scanned, but not the ones I added later. But when I took the memory card from the scanner and put it into a camera, they all showed up. I'm not sure I understand why it happens. I put the card back into the scanner to see if all images could be seen now, but once again it only showed me the one I had originally scanned. Could I chose this product because it mentions it as a stand-alone item, without a computer program can be used. I gave it 3 stars because it scans each slide pretty quickly and it was easy to use. But had I wanted something that would buy the inconvenience. It is not easy. I'm not impressed. All 39 customer reviews ....
