More Excellent by a client after reading other reviews on scanners and seeing all the problems we had with the cheap, I decided to spend a little more for something better. It was a good decision: the CanoScan D1250U2F surpassed my expectations.Software and hardware installation is straight forward, and the documentation is clear and simple. A major factor in my decision to buy the Canon was the inclusion of Adobe Photoshop Elements - software is very intuitive, powerful, and he reacts well with the delivery scanner.Color is excellent, and scanned images show well-balanced and clean. On my computer (Windows XP, 1.8 GHz, 384 MB RAM) scan of moderate resolution is reasonably fast and downloads are fast, even though I run the USB 1.1 driver and not 2.0. Scanning a 3x5 photo at 600 dpi takes about 15-20 seconds, maybe 10-15 seconds at 300 dpi. A lot of the time the scanner "light adaptation" is scanThe before the actual film and slide scanner is easy to use and produces good results. Images can be mixed and the colors a bit muted, but in this price range I do not expect professional slide scanning. In 2400 it is fairly close to the resolution of the film and is certainly good enough for most e-mail the photo and web publishing applications. The scanner also comes with optical character recognition (OCR), which works even though I do not find intuitive. In addition, the OCR software makes some strange decisions, particularly with regard to the spelling and seems anxious to take control of the scanner, the introduction at unexpected times. Apart from the OCR software miracle if I wanted to be picky, I would say that the hinges are a little fragile, and the buttons on the front of the scanner is useless. In my view it would be a better product if they removed the knobs from the front and put a switch on the back, but it's all just nit ... The scanner does a great job in general. 95 of 99 people found the following review helpful. EXCELLENT. By Chas Devlin So far it works wonderfully. I will Millon read reviews of other Scanners - Agfa, Umax, HP, Microtek, etc, but after a while offsetting it all out. I could not afford the next level "professional" models, and not really require all the things that accompany them. So, Canon was my last choice. In Windows ME, set it at less than 10 minutes. Hardware was light, and found that there is no driver problem. I had to scan immediately. Up to this point, I became friends with a scanner on Windows 98, a heavy model, 4 or 5 years old (clunky parallel / serial port, etc.) and it was incredibly slow and loud. This was such a difference. I've only tested a color photo (5 x 7) by 200% (dpi) and it has it in just 30 seconds. I also tried a large color image of a book was surprisingly good and I'm sure the real test will be the pictures in much higher resolution (but who really needs this big?). Also I'm still trying to grayscale magazines / newspapers. By "not believe" option worked exceptionally well. It completely eliminates the standard album cover moiree. Very surprised he did well.I m "is also used with an Adaptec USB 2.0. It is undoubtedly fast. I have not really done things high resolution, but I'm sure it will be better than what I I'm used to. The software is good, although I did not use the file / image registration. It seems aimed at beginners and can be helpful. If you have Photoshop 5 or 6, you may not need that comes with Photoshop Elements it.While of course there are more readers out there with more gadgets and large areas of analysis (at a higher price, of course), I have no complaints. It works perfect for my home / office use and is designed to get family photos, vinyl album covers and a variety of other materials is provided with a slide tray, too.

And 'fast (in both scanning and transfer to PC), quiet, and has superb scan quality, esp. in 35 mm negative. (I have not tried to scan 35 mm slides.) Setup 4200F is pretty much a no-brainer, assuming you have Windows XP. (Users of Windows 98 will have to follow the instructions very carefully.) First, install the software - the scanner driver and scanning bar (called "toolbox") are only those programs needed to use the scanner, other applications (photo editing, OCR and Adobe Acrobat ) are optional. After restarting the machine (so that the scanner driver is loaded and runs as a service) Simply connect the USB 2.0 high speed cable and you're ready to go. Using the scanner is also quite simple. You can scan in three ways: directly from your image editor or organization (assuming universal supports the TWAIN interface, which most imaging programs worth their pennies to make), using the Canon Scan Toolbox, or any of the four buttons on the scanner itself, which calls the toolbox and automatically start a scan The four buttons are: - Copy. Your PC must be connected to an enabled printer for this to work. When you press Print, Canon scans and sends the file to the printer. - Scan. This is the button for scanning. When you press, the Canon scanning and the scanned image to the program designed for editing photos, specify a time through the toolbox. (This button corresponds to "scan" icon in the toolbar.) - PDF. This is the scanned image into a PDF file. - Email. This button scans and then calls the Outlook Express or Outlook to the corporate image as a JPEG attachment. The toolbox (toolbar) has more options for scanning. All are pretty simple Each option can be configured in detail, or you can specify all the settings to the controller. (The toolbox is an interface to the driver.) If you put things on the controller, to be able to adjust how the scanned image should look, in terms of color, contrast, sharpness, etc., etc. options are endless but in the beginning, using the toolbox makes scanning a breeze and less intimidating. One nice thing about Canon is the way makes it easier to understand what the resolution should be first examined, the 4200F is capable of 3200x6400 dpi (dots per inch). The 3200 dpi optical resolution is the real, which is the amount of small details that can be detected. The second number, 6400 dpi, refers to his "step" levels, which basically means that the sensor can test every inch 6400 times, but only detects up to 3200 points. When scanning, the Canon asks what the output * resolution and size you want, and then calculates the necessary input resolution that you scan a 4x6 "photo but want to be able to four times larger (or twice the width and print length, ie, 8x12 ") and print at 300 dpi. The Canon will automatically set the scan resolution of 600 dpi - that's twice as 4x6 print at 300 dpi. This gives you a 2400x3600 pixel file, which can then be printed at 8x12 "300 dpi (2400 / 8 = 3600/12 = 300 dpi). This concept of specifying output resolution rather than worrying about the dissolution of the entry works esp. Thus, for negative want to scan. Say you are scanning a 35mm negative. It would be hard to understand what is the scan resolution is the best. But if you know the print run a 4x6 "photo at 200 dpi, you say the driver so, and the driver will do the work for you and scan properly. Another feature I love is the Multi-Scan, you can scan multiple images at once and the driver automatically separates them here as I am using my 4200F: I set the Scan button, so it is Adobe Photoshop Elements 3 operator is affiliated. (You can use the key to a link.

My last scanner was well served about four years ago and bought me. Still works, but I decided to upgrade, because it is not up to par with my needs, not quality. Although it was long ago, I still clearly remember that it took three days to get it that causes the SCSI card and drivers are all working happily together. This scanner on the other hand, had a step by step guide that I was up and running in just two minutes, no joke not even reboot. The quality is great. Color balance is excellent, extremely sharp and free of artifacts or edge seen all kinds of saturation seemed a little low defualt, so I did some fiddling with the settings to get it, where is the big bonus wanted.Another film scanner. I've seen other scanners that seem to have rough "quick and dirty" adapters and so on, but this scanner is really optimized for that purpose, which has a light built into the lid, instead of a mirror system to ensure a balanced light. The image from the negative scans are a bit "soft, I guess that cuased small increase in the film. Its not only noticeable in less studied side by side with a print. The surprising aspect is the color. It is very much alive. I was quite shocked when I looked at some picures of a holiday in the past. The perfect color realism that was missing from the press reported that it was offset by color but technician.I lab "time to use the scanning feature for professional purposes, but I would also like to emphasize that it is a very useful feature, if only to use at home. I'm sure some of you are like me in the closet with boxes of negatives and prints scattered to the ends of the earth. Instead of paying laboratory fees expessive all 10,000 of them processed, you can browse only through them, which seems ineteresting scan and email to friends 27 of 27 people found this review helpful. Piece of cake for a customer who bought this scanner because of its low price and features. What I really wanted was a good basic level of slide / negative scanning capability at lower cost, and this scanner fits the bill well. Nothing could be easier than creating this scanner - it took all of 10 minutes (from opening the box to connect all the burden of scanning an image, in fact). The operation is very simple - photo put on a plate, button, follow the on-screen. I found very useful software. Those looking for wholesale scanning of slides is incapable of this kind, and if you have a pile of negatives to go, planning to take some time. But you can not beat the scanner's ability to money.A In addition, tracking my purchases Amazoncom was excellent - all the information you could want about where the barrel of your purchase at any time. They said that 7.5 days, she was three. Good job. 37 of 39 people found this review helpful. Scanner excellent, excellent. By STEPHEN J. SMITH This scanner is a replacement for my Mustek 1200 he had bought recently and was not satisfied with the quality of the product. Canon D660U, although not as fast as the Epson 636 words that I use at work, have a better quality output. This scanner is perfect for home and business needs. The ability to scan 35 mm slides and negatives is an added plus. Although using Adobe Photoshop to edit all my graphics, the software that comes with the D660U is so good. CEARÁ including Omnipage OCR software is excellent. This is an easy to use, the package of high quality scanning that everyone should be happy. See all 22 customer reviews ....

The same goes for Epson. I wanted to explore the images from time to time and archive photos, maybe old, big picture perspective was important. Canon, known for a digital camera has the same quality scanners. Why is this in 3170? That's half the price, smaller (about 1 / 3 high), and looks very good. It meets about four 4x6 photos on the scanner, use the Multi-scan at 600 dpi and works well. Sometimes, however, think that the automatic cuts would be better. It took all of 5 minutes to set up and use. You do not need an adapter, as it uses USB for power. It's fast and quiet. I've done over 600 scans so far. Works like a charm. It's so fast, that can scan 75 to 100 frames per hour! 51 of 51 people found this review helpful. A "best" entry level scanner, copier to replace almost the shock writer, I am a private user without Cannon connector. This is a great product that I hope lasts for years. The scanner and the software is a tremendous value for money. Although not a fully developed professional scanner that is good for what it was: the data to your computer quickly, easily and inexpensively, while replaced by anything for a copy machine and do some graphic work. The included software makes Toobox CanoScan scanner do simple functions with ease. Timing & Copy Quality: I love the copy directly to the printer function. You can shrink and expand by 25% to 400% or custom% size. The 75-300 DPI setting works well, but 600 dpi copy function freezes my system is too slow and the files are too big for my taste anyway - a transition to HP printing language driver from HP postscript driver on my HP4500 color laser seems to have fixed this problem. Copy is the fastest non-critical applications to quickly set 150 dpi in order, if the text is a bit "blocked" or "bold" look with fat edges 300 dpi delivers a copy of more normal looking. To "copy" a 150-dpi color scanner (scan color looks better, even for black and white in my experience) takes about 15 seconds from start to fall on my printer spooler. A 300 dpi takes about 30 seconds. Reasonable period of time in relation to copiers cheaper at home than I used to, but not extremely fast. You need some time to add your printer to the total time to get to make a copy. The quality of the copy is almost a copy machine regularly, but not quite, unless maybe you spend time fine-tuning. There is a tendency, a bit of gray instead of white margin with 150dpi print copy appears to leave 300 dpi. It could also be due to a small bulb of verses in this little scanner copier bulbs in more normal. Like I said, with some modifications to software and at 300 dpi, usually it goes away, but I'll just copy automatically, without corrections, a gun buy their own copy, if that's what you need, and they have told me to be better than other brands in this period of "to sell, before it slows down the" trash Office Products, which sells office is currently in mass stores. Filesize: Scan-to "copy" function has a jpg file, which is quite large, and can print slowly on some systems. I wish I could adjust the jpg quality to my requests in speed and quality. 150 dpi color gets a decent, quick scan to print a quick copy function and size of approximately 5-6 MEG 300 dpi is half as fast (makes sense) and much larger than jpg (20-24 MEG). The 24 MEG is a print slower, even from my HP 4500 color laser postscript. The scan-to "file" (PDF) files less can make only 10% of the size of jpgs from "copy" function in my experience. Williamson, I am an amateur photographer and professional software engineer. I bought this printer as a general use as an inexpensive photo printer. My home network of five computers running Windows XP and Mac OS X computer (my). I connected the printer to my network using the built-in Ethernet port. All tests are performed online and never had a USB port. The printer does everything it advertises and does it well. I tried to print, scan and card reader functionality to OS X Tiger, OS X Leopard, Windows XP and the printer has worked flawlessly, regardless of operating system you use. Just make sure to download and install the latest and greatest for the specific operating system used. I also tried to directly scan using Photoshop CS3 on OS X Leopard and everything worked perfectly, one of the reasons I bought the MP970 is the low-cost photo printing. I also own an Epson R2400 is a semi-professional dedicated photo printer. The R2400 is expensive to buy and expensive to run. I was wondering how MP970 photo quality would be similar to the R2400, so I compared photos printed directly on the Canon MP970 to the same photos printed on Epson R2400. Canon MP970 prints nice photos, but it's just not the same quality images as R2400 produce. I printed pictures from Photoshop in a color managed environment using Ilford Smooth Pearl paper and compared the R2400 to the MP970. Canon MP970 did very well, but the Epson R2400 was definitely the winner - and that was the expected result. Epson had better highlights, better shadows and more neutral tones middle. Despite this, the MP970 produced very respectable print that would be acceptable to all but the most demanding applications The result is that if you're really serious about a good picture, not the printer for you. If you want a low cost per print production of all respect, this printer is definitely for you. I think the Canon MP970 met or exceeded my expectations for a photo quality printer at low cost. And as an added bonus, the MP970 is much cheaper to operate my R2400, because it uses less ink. As an example of how to use it a lot more profitable to print 25 Christmas cards on my MP970 to print than it is the same 25 cards on the R2400. I only gave 4 stars because the printer goes off every 2 to 4 days for no reason. Canon technical support confirmed that the printer must be turned off and sent me a new printer warranty replacement. Unfortunately, the printer will substitute for no reason I've tried different outlets in my office and it does not solve the problem. No other devices in my power went out of office. The examination was here for a while now, and several people posted comments and said their printer MP970 also intermittent. Update on the intermittent power off problem: After about nine months of operation, I landed the printer from my desktop to my son's room (for reasons). For unknown reasons, the printer stops off at times, having moved to the room of my son. The printer was in my son's room for about 3 months now, and it has not even died. Weird. I had the printer for about a year and I've had no problems noted with the exception of the question of power. This makes the printer: - Duplex printing - Ethernet Connectivity - USB Connection - Start an exploration of the printer or computer - scan disk on your computer, scan to email, scan to PDF - Print - Memory Card Reader the camera to access the cards through the network or USB - Scanner is compatible with Photoshop CS3 on Mac OS X - Compatible with the operating system.

By Mark Although I managed to have used a Canon CanoScan LiDE 500F for scanning old 35mm color and black and white negatives, it was the slow way. Many of the negative was rolled with a low humidity in winter and mounting them in the 500F is the picture adapter was becoming a nightmare. I've worked out how long it took me to assemble and every negative scan, and took a look at my other work (about 2000 negatives and mounted 35 mm slides to the left). It became clear that I have a faster solution to both mounting and scanning speed. Because the 500F is the only film strip image attachment support, had the new unit to support the mounted slides. Moreover, the new device easy to use, allowing me negatives and film strips installed as quickly as possible, compliant with the facilities to srips bent low in humidity protection. The moment I saw the FS-C1-VP VuPoint scanner 35 mm was cheap, simple, and it seemed to do everything. ------ UNIT The 35 mm slides VuPoint scanner is exactly what seems to be a 5-megapixel CCD medium-low range in a plastic case. The house contains a mini lightbox to illuminate the lower 35mm slides / negatives to scan CCD. Just grab your slides or negatives, including fitting them in the hills, and slide the trays into the scanner unit. Each window tray snaps gently into place to help adapt the slide / negative in the CCD. The hills are very good at keeping negative curled safely. (Very curly / curly can introduce negative shadow during the scan. To completely relax the slide, hold the tray with a steaming pot for about 10 seconds.) VuPoint scanner Build quality is quite high. Although made of plastic, it has a very nice feeling (similar to a "satin" telephone) and mounted slides and filmstrip hills seem durable and fits well with the device as the device is powered by an attached 4 foot long USB 2.0-cable so it has a very small footprint. The scanner is also insensitive to position, use almost anywhere, from any angle (sideways on his lap, in bed, etc.) makes it more likely you will get the scan job. SCANNING ------ I installed the scanner driver only, no image editing software that came with the device (PhotoImpression 6) and instead to scan directly into Photoshop CS3. With this method I was able to scan only "stupid" at the highest resolution of 2592x1680. For negatives, which means you have to invert the image after you scan and then perform color correction / adjust levels / Unsharp Masking / etc Mounted slides or a positive film scanners STIP, but will still need additional filters applied for best results if you scan in CS3, create actions to manage typical archetypes drag (negative, positive, negative, blur, scratches desaturated slide positive and dust, etc.). In practice, the scan driver that shows a preview image of the low rate of the CCD. If you wait between 5 and 15 seconds, the light levels in the image of balance and be ready to scan. A sequence of positive results, with very different levels of light push your wait time at most. In extreme cases, you can wait 45 seconds + to balance decent. To begin the analysis is to press the button 'Copy' on the device, or click on the "snapshot" from the software of the scanner driver. Snapshots are fast, but once you have a snapshot, then you need to "transfer" the image of CS3. It can take up to 30 seconds per image. The driver contains 12 strokes. Since this 'buffer' is complete, you need to transfer pictures from CS3 The driver takes a fair amount of CPU, while the forecast - taking 60% CPU on a laptop Pentium M 1 GHz CPU and 40% on a P4 2GHz. I imagine the CPU would be about 20% on a dual core (proof later) ..

Most helpful customer reviews 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. nice product, but could be improved by Jay I hope that the designers of this product, read my post here and do better, because it could be a really useful tool. I really think some people this little tool can be very helpful. It is easy to transport and works very well. One thing I really want to change is the distance from the side edge of the scanner to the line that begins in the scan area. It will not be a problem if you just need a piece of paper with the table scan. But when you try to scan a page in a book / magazine thick, you will immediately feel the pain, because the scan area can not cover the entire page. As you can imagine, if you keep the scanner and move it from top to bottom on the page in a book, you can move the scanner too far to the left so that the scan range covers the entire page, because most you can do is touch the edge of the scanner in the middle of the book as a result will not cover the scanned image is often two sides of the page. It is extremely painful, and almost unusable. I've tried to scan from left to right (instead of top to bottom), but it has its own problems (like you need to rotate the image, and rotate in different ways depending on even or odd page). This is obviously a design flaw. If the product testers tried to scan book, they will immediately see the problem. ABBYY Screenshot Reader does not connect to my Windows 7 edition (there are no instructions to tell, which version of OS software) to work. I installed it anyway, but then found that it can not be opened. The sad thing is the team always asks if I ABBYY connect to the Internet if you can not even open, so you try to connect to the Internet. To download the Trojans? See all 1 reviews ....

I scanned only a handful of color images, and they were also going well. Some experience I had with the scanner: - smaller images end up getting a better final solution - the quality is very good for pictures but only average for text, for example, newspaper articles is not good enough to scan, for you to read small text - aout 30 pictures I could scan in one hour - scan multiple images are usually simple: You do not need a large picture of the crop each photo scanning software figures out of the picture. However, sometimes the image border detection messes things and the scanner detects a smaller picture than it was in the scanner and forces you to search for some old Polaroid pictures were scanned image clearer and brighter than the POLAROID brought the image into an amazing way. 135 of 143 people found the following review helpful. I'll save time ... By tomato jersey I bought this scanner mainly because of the reviews that said the ability to save things in PDF format. Well, it's easy once you find out - but it took me over 90 minutes! It comes with different types of software and one of them will be saved in PDF format. It's the CanoScan Toolbox. Neither ArcSoft PhotoStudio and ScanSoft OmniPage software. Quick Start Guide suggests trying your first scan using the ArcSoft software. I tried a small table of plant names. It scans very slow and the results were unreadable. I tried again with a higher DPI. When I tried to save the file, I found a PDF option in the dropdown box and even try to close a window in the program had provided. So I tried the software OmniPage, as it was designed for text. It was much clearer, but the process was still slow, because I asked to confirm the spelling of the name of almost all plants. Again, there is no option in the dropdown box to save in PDF format. Finally, in desperation, I clicked on CanoScan Toolbox, where a large button marked PDF. He had a two-page document scanned and saved, wonderfully readable, in a minute. Why the hell not the Quick Start Guide suggest starting with this is the easiest and fastest? I think I'll be very happy with the scanner, but I'm deducting a star for the lack of documentation. 48 of 48 people found this review helpful. He works fast, and the picture quality is good. Some things to consider: The batteries came with died, at first led me to believe that the product was defective. But if it happens to you, you just put a new pair and you're good to go. In addition, there is no internal memory for scanned items to the scan to do it, you need the SD card. To get better with the purchase of the scanner. The scanner is perfect for the office or take a quick picture or two from a book page, but, though small and thin, do not expect to achieve in those hard to reach corners of the most important books. Although designed to most other places scanners can not really analyze a whole book to get, you have to separate the bond in this case, you will be just as well off of a flatbed scanner. But the scanner is still a good accessory to the student on the go All in all I am very happy with this purchase and recommend this product. 26 of 26 people found the following review helpful. 600 dpi color & mono handy scan With Patty It's more than I had hoped. I have a scanner dedicated slides / photographs, a multi-page document (IE credit card / bank / investment statements) and a thermal receipts (IE grocery, pharmacy, etc.) ) On the other hand, this scanner lives in my bag and is for those items you do not expect my 93 and / or living mother in assisted living. There are times when you need evidence, among other things, and I like to explore the paperwork before you leave the health care "professionals", but can not afford to go home and crawl away. Customer more profit on 218 of 223 people found this review helpful. Excellent bang for the buck in the summer St. Wilson My best friend bought me this scanner for Christmas (my request). I chose this particular model because of low prices, high resolution, and is a flatbed scanner capable of handling even negative. I used it for several days and I must say, I love this scanner! It must be the quietest scanner I've ever seen. I was on the phone with my mom while scanning and she never heard. And 'even faster. At maximum resolution for scanning negatives preview takes maybe 20 seconds. The analysis itself takes less than two minutes. The quality of the scans is impressive, if you make a plan, color negatives, or black and white negatives (true black and white one). Software wise, the TWAIN driver is very nice with tons of options. It works perfectly on my XP Pro system with the end of the graphics card rather low. The combined PhotoStudio sucks, however, and I do not use it I find Irfanview (free online) works very well for almost all my needs, including as a facilitator for batch scanning to file. I have not tried the included OmniPage, but I have an older version so I expect that it works very well. The other contribution here seems to reject this scanner be made cheaper. Personally it seems to me. If you are aggressive with your equipment, then yes, twice as much to spend for something completely metal. However, I treat my equipment well. The plastic support negative works well for me, and it is very easy to use. I do not see anything wrong with the plastic hinge. It runs smoothly and seems well designed. Another good thing about this scanner is that it does not weigh much at all! I like this since I was a glass desk that take place can not have a ton of weight. The design is nice. It is beautiful and elegant against my blue glass. All in all I would recommend this scanner for anyone looking for a good, fast all purpose scanner for less than $ 100 worth the money (and the free super saving shipping is a nice bonus). Best Christmas gift I received. 546 of 570 people found the following review helpful. CanoScan 4400F 8600F vs. Against caveat emptor, it is difficult to find comparison specs between some of the new CanoScan. After looking at both the 4400F and 8600F, 8600F except the ability to scan medium format negatives and combined with a light version of Photoshop, 8600 is simply a more heavy machinery. An important difference is the lid. The 8600 has metal hinges and fits vertically on the metal support. There will also be open to 90 degrees of movement. The 4400 has a plastic hinge. To accommodate books or thick materials, has a break-away "articulating hinge - if you do like the thick of a book on the flatbed lid hinges open to attach the object to fit. The hinge 4400 will not stay open on their own Both lids are quite heavy and solid (more than 8600), which is good if you examine the books or things to bed. But since 4400 the hinge is all plastic and has a small piece of plastic that contains the set or adjust the hinge, which really does not look that lends itself to many of the farms book. It seems that eventually break the blockade, as it is, it seems that their break time to accommodate an open book. (As I do a lot of digitized books, I decided that 8600 was better than that, as a result of the adjustment cap and the hinge construction and due to its heavy lid, although the extra money. If you regularly check was origins photocopying or thin, the 4400 would have been nice.) ) One last thing about the construction of the lid: The 8600 is a sturdy cord to power the lights in the lid, while the 4400 provides power to the lid of a thin ribbon cable that is visible in the hinge and seems somewhat vulnerable to heavy use.

If you have movies that you need from this MB I have purchased this product to digitally transparent slide my parents, so we can easily see them. How many people have a broken slide at home? Slides were "in" what is already in the 60s and 70s, so each one pile in the basement. The cheapest price for the slides that I took was to send, 0.19 cents per unit, so not an option if you have over 2000 plus. It is so easy that I could not believe it. It came with the scanner software, and you can connect directly to a computer but simply an SD card and then paste it into your computer when you are finished. The scanner comes with adjustments, but I left it on default settings and it worked great. The screen is quite small, but it lets you see what you do. It takes longer to put the slides into the cradle so to scan it (about 5 seconds to scan each slide). I have about 420 slides in about 2 hours 1 day is so fast the scan quality is only as good as the blade itself, but it is always better than the films in a box in the basement and no one is watching. If you are the fastest and cheapest way to get digital slides is your machine. The scanner works well on the negative. Just change the setting on the scanner and your business. 33 of 33 customers found this review helpful. Large scans, tray slide miserable RLR I bought this scanner on the positive reviews on Amazon basis. I've been three days, and I found the scans to super-fast and good quality, but slide the tray on three stations of torture. It's the only reason why I knocked my rating down from five stars to three. There are two problems with the set. First, the recesses are shaped to the blade too small to store slides tedious and requires much more attention than it should. Second, the tray hard to open - I've always afraid I'll break the plastic when you remove the image 39 of 42 people found this review helpful. John E. Good scanner Hetsch who bought this product, do not expect good results, but I was wrong. Right out of the box, it was easy to use. Instructions from the left a little to be desired, but with some programs, it is very easy to use. It's pretty simple. SCANNER I have had this now for over a week and so far, I scanned in a thousand and 1,500 slides, all with excellent results. The color is exactly like the original SLIDE KODACHROME. Three or four years, I bought a Canon scanner that I scan more than four thousand color slides, but it is big and bulky and must be connected to the computer. It costs much more than just scanning a bit but did not give better results. I would definitely recommend this browser to anyone who wants to preserve the image.

Shopping satisfied with the SD card slot, no need to connect the scanner to a computer and not have to deal with the software. Leave the CD in the box. I used this without a computer scanner to scan my slides. I used AAA batteries for portability, and I also supplied the power, when I was near a roulette to save money buying batteries. The quality of the scanner is great! Scanning a slide so fast that at first I did not even know scanned. You literally press a button and he is done second. No noise. Once I finished scanning all my slides, I just pulled the SD card scanner and a card reader for my computer. The files were all in standard JPEG format, where all programs on your computer can read the files. 101 of 101 people found the following review helpful. Quick scan, but the instructions are very poorly written by Tina from Brooklyn first time I ever Scanner can not compare with others. But Extremely fast scanning, approximately 2 seconds per image. Would have been nice to have a slide with more than three seats, but the owner was easy to use. My only complaint was the instructions, I found it difficult to know exactly what to do and how to switch between screens (eg, image save, delete, transfer to the computer), but pick it out after a few attempts . Use a memory card, faster than using the scanner's memory, then after about six slide scanner memory was full. No problem transferring photos to my Apple computer. Yes, I would recommend to buy and loved seeing my 40 year old slides on my computer screen. 101 of 107 people found the following review helpful. Some errors. . . By D. Edwards, I got this for Christmas present from my father. He has many slides from the 50s and 60s that he has hidden away, and I thought he would have easier access to the images we put on it, and I began to scan slides to enjoy. When I got to run the slide show, it was the group I had originally scanned, but not the ones I added later. But when I took the memory card from the scanner and put it into a camera, they all showed up. I'm not sure I understand why it happens. I put the card back into the scanner to see if all images could be seen now, but once again it only showed me the one I had originally scanned. Could I chose this product because it mentions it as a stand-alone item, without a computer program can be used. I gave it 3 stars because it scans each slide pretty quickly and it was easy to use. But had I wanted something that would buy the inconvenience. It is not easy. I'm not impressed. All 39 customer reviews ....

High quality - scans and equipment by Stephen Gibson I bought also scan slides - but are as the blades of the size of standard slides in terms of support, is the film itself square films instead of rectangular films as the latest (mine are about 1 , 44 "x 1.44"). For some reason, uses the standard size of the culture of the 8800F, you can 35-mm slides are not changed by the user. I wrote the company and got back a standard reply which basically said: ". We do not modify the software to make you happy" I think they misunderstood me, but whatever ... Fortunately, I found the answer quite by accident. It turns out that in order to work the scanner for my situation (and maybe yours), I just had to uncheck the box next to "Enable / disable the thumbnail view mode" and allowed me to manually create the rather large harvests. This also means that I can use the support strips instead of 35 mm slides 35 mm slides and leave the old magazine featured a slide of metal, saving even more time to myself after discovering that I'm happy to say that this scanner is beyond my expectations and I am very happy now that I can not use my Konica Dimage Scan Dual IV with my Vista PC. The hardware is very strong and the speed is great. 1200 dpi scans in under a minute each. For more information on how to manually scan slides older, leave me your e-mail as a comment to this review. Hope this helps. Steve 482 of 485 people found this review helpful. EXTRA! T. Meerloo BOX: The complete machine is much smaller and lighter than the previous scanner, with the dimensions of the same field of exploration. It comes with a USB connection and a separate power "brick" between the output and a scanner. Three scanning guides are included, a combo of two side-by-side 35 mm film strips (to 5 pictures each) with caps that fit curved strips, a guide for 4 standard-size slides and a 120 mm filmstrip holder These guides in a specific location on the scanning surface, so they line up under the lid-mounted light source which is covered by a removable plate. The cover is very easy, but it takes almost equally open to them to stay open without support. The thin beam of 35mm filmstrip guide is very thin, and I already broke one when trying to load the curved strip of negatives. Software with scanner drivers, etc., an advanced image editing program, and versions of Adobe Photoshop Elements (5.0 for Windows, 4.0 for Mac) are included. SOFTWARE: I have not tried all of the included software yet because I want to work in other programs for archiving and retouching of images. That being said, using one of the programs on the scanner (MP Navigator) I think there are some unnecessary steps and windows between the scan and save the work from a Mac, it was easy to install and scan with the scanner interface are extremely intuitive. Everything is going relatively smoothly, but there are occasional program crashes and I can not queue up a lot of pictures before the program of the buffer is full (even with an excess of RAM). Automatic identification of pictures in picture frames or negative strips are very accurate, but can be turned off, as another reviewer noted, and you can create your own area of interest or an entire film strip selected. SETUP: There are many choices before you scan, such as Unsharp Mask and remove dirt and scratches, which provide different levels to choose from, such as "Grain Correction" and "Backlight Compensation". While we generally see a positive effect of the Unsharp Mask (again, I work with high dpi), I realize that to turn to dirt and scratches on just makes a mess in the affected areas, some of the specifications, or completely intact patches I tend to reverse the options to remove dirt and scratches and grain correction altogether. I run the program scan the scanner.

Crews Giles Epson V300 Photo RATINGS I can only give five stars if I compare with my using a different scanner - but I strongly suspect such a comparison would not change my opinion on this point. I'm happy, and it exceeds all my expectations. That is why four stars and probably five. USE I had two goals for a scanner: My main task is to sell out the long history and many rare and theological texts to keep making them available to other researchers and scientists - who needs a flatbed. The second was to preserve and share old photos. Twenty-four hours ago I bought this device has led to this selection of reviews and finally decided on the basis of LED scanning technology, portability, price, and the included software. It cost me more than $ 20 (100 total) for the V300, which I think is the same as the V300 except V30 is the inclusion of 35 mm film and slides into the frame, which I think could be useful to me how I Don 'know why use terms that are in the way of use. Must be: Photo, Text mode, automatic mode and a professional attitude. Instead, the image is called "Home" text is called "Office" and Professional car is what you might think. The menus are intuitive else, but you can (as I did) to read the manual if you want. PHOTO I started with photos. Resolution of 300 dpi is sufficient for all my needs, but I tried 1200 to see what he would do. Using the 1200 is 400% original, and with this approach, and zoom in using common software images that were the details beyond my expectations - almost like a detective movie magnifying glass to see the reflection of the topic a photographer. Almost. This is way beyond my needs, I like the preservation of photos as they are - even photoshopping for improvement ... RESTORATION I could not resist trying the automatic restoration. I started with the default setting of 300 dpi, which is across the board I use now - just because it is more than adequate for my use. I have family photos in black and white from the 1890s, and I had the original to see in bright light on a detail to do, so it was blurred. Seconds later, the preview image in the "Home" mode "(see above) and leave the default" color ", a perfectly balanced contrast showed, could the details pop my eyes undetectable in the original. Excellent. I then 1941 I took a color photograph, and the bodies left in "Home Mode" 300 dpi, and "restoring colors" checked. The original color was distorted, almost no red left. One press of the button and the picture blew II believe that must have been the original colors. Excellent. The final test was a picture of me picture where the flash had made my skin look pasty white, tan while I was using the very professional way and play with the controls on the removal of a little red, green disposal intuitive on-screen graphic for the purpose, and play with other controls for a few seconds, resulting in a very good final product. The text scanning entire books in pdf files is my main use. But I tried more than that. OLD CLIPPING NEWSPAPWER My first test was actually a newspaper clipping from 90 years of age. The use of "Office" mode, I did nothing but watch and then analyze. The software did its thing and maybe a minute later opened the PDF with Acrobat (the free version) and the image was an exact replica. I used the selection tool to select text in Acrobat entire article and paste it into MS Word. The supplied software (ABBYY FineReader Sprint Plus OCR) had a job only for a free product bundled and original ink dotted terrible (as usual printing paper in the tube) The PDF file is readable as it was. The ability to search the listings to find specific words and phrases are easily visible in the version that I copied from the PDF and then.

The best part is that it actually fits in my Targus computer case with my laptop. It weighs only 2-3 PD, and runs from USB power --- no converter brick to carry around. The scans are sharp and fast. The automatic settings work very well for almost all typical original (old photos, business letters, receipts, etc..) Despite some shortcomings, the price and portability make this an extraordinary range of choice for the scanner to scan books --- because the books to be acquired often rumored in libraries or archives. WEAKNESSES Unfortunately, the special design of this scanner (and all other LED-based scanners) is that (unlike most desktop scanners fat) is not possible to scan 3D objects. Any part of your document or image is not in contact with the absolute Patten glass becomes very blurry. The proposed framework raises the edges of the original Patten does not fit the glass, making the edges of images to be blurred, this is particularly a problem when scanning books. Nor can simply press harder --- that surrounds the glass, causing blurred vision in the other parts of the hand, and can also damage the scanning mechanism. However, these problems can be solved using the strategies discussed below. The cover is not removable, which means you can be unlucky if you need to scan part of a large object. The program is diverse, confusing and difficult to configure their best. Warning, I have used at least three brands of scanner software, none of which were well designed. From strangely named "MP Navigator" I suggest checking the box "Use the scanner driver" to open the "Advanced Settings" - or better yet, scan your graphics (image editing) software. However, although the plot is a problem, is smaller (1 / 16 ") and narrow (3 / 8") than most other scanners, etc., etc. scan books is a minor problem with most scanners. The choice of models and hardware "Advanced Settings" part of the exploration program LiDE all models (at least on models 90 to 210) appears to be identical.
